The Jester Booster Club is the organization of parents and community supporters of the Grady High School Jesters team.
As an organization, the Booster Club is responsible for subsidizing the cost of tournament entries, securing and paying for transportation to and from tournaments, recruiting volunteers to judge and coordinating all fundraising activities! Not to mention, communication and general logistics for the Jester activities. In short – the Jester Booster Club is what allows Mario and Lisa, our coaches, to focus on building the award-winning teams’ skills and frees them from the administrative tasks needed to support a group this size.   (Thanks Booster Club!)
So.. how does this club pull off this task??

Of course, we all know that the bottom line answer to all logistic and administrative troubles is money. So the Booster Club is charged with raising the funds needed to make sure that money doesn’t stop our Jesters from pursuing this academic pursuit to the highest level – all Jesters, regardless of their individual resources.
There are three major components:
- Membership dues from parents
- Volunteers to offset tournament fees (judge charges) and transportation needs
- Fundraising
Be a Booster! Â Â
First and foremost – JOIN the Booster Club! Annual dues of $125 per family are expected of all participants and the form can be downloaded here: Parent-Info-Form-2012
Second – VOLUNTEER! Each week the Jester Juice newsletter communicates the judge and/or chaperone needs for the upcoming tournaments. Visit the Sign Up Genius site and commit to help – it’s a super way to support the team and your children!  (Link in left hand column as well.)
Third – FUNDRAISING opportunities! We just completed the citrus drive and many of our Jesters participated. The next – and the largest – fundraiser of the year is our Grady Quest for the Dream tournament in January. We will be reaching out to parents for help with volunteering, cooking, contributing and seeking community business donations – so stay tuned to the Fundraising page under the Calendar menu!
