Specific instructions on judging the different types of debate are found in the Powerpoint presentations below.  Most first time (and perhaps even second and third time) judges will be assigned to judge the Individual Events (IEs).  You will want to balance your feedback with constructive criticism, reasons for your decision and diplomacy.  The critique you write will be read by the debaters as well as their coaching team and should indicate opportunities for improvement as appropriate.
